Magda Remillard
Vice President, Operations
Magda Remillard has most recently
been involved with building out of
the Business Development unit at
Novatel Wireless, focusing on value
add applications for Novatel's core
business in 3G modems. Before
joining Novatel, Ms Remillard
founded Zaxis Technologies, a mobile
software company that developed
porting technologies enabling mobile
applications to function on all cell
phones. During her tenure, she
raised $550K of private equity to
fund the company’s product
development efforts. In 2004, as CEO
of Zaxis, she was named as one of
the finalists for the prestigious
Athena Pinnacle awards. Prior to
that, Ms Remillard worked at another
San Diego start up, PRAJA Inc, where
she ran the IT, Software QA, Project
Management, and Customer Support
areas.
Before joining PRAJA, Ms
Remillard served as Director of Live
Systems at Golfsat.com where she was
responsible for the management of
Software QA, Software CM, and the
Application Support groups and
launched the Golfsat.com site in
September 2000. Before Golfsat, she
was part of the team at Gateway
eCommerce where she created and ran
the Software QA department. Her
first Internet related experience
was at PersonaLogic, Inc., a
Web-based e commerce navigation
company, which America Online
acquired in November 1998. She also
held several IT management positions
within the Savings and Loan and
Mortgage Banking industry.
Ms Remillard received her B.A. from the
University of California, San Diego.
She was born and raised in Poland
and came to the United States at the
age 13. In 1978 she moved to San
Diego to attend UCSD and remained
here to pursue her career and family
life. In addition to her business
and family activities, Ms. Remillard
is involved in her community and
served 3 years as Business Area 1
Representative of the Executive
Board of University Community
Planning Group.
